Game Genie

So, let's talk cheats.

Let me preface this by saying that I've yet to resort to any of these.

So, a cheat on this whole ketosis shake diet thing is something that I can eat that won't adversely effect my diet in an horribly noticeable way. Usually, they're high in sodium, which means more water retention, but are otherwise all water/nothing, so I can safely replace a shake with them.

Below is a list of things that I can eat/drink on my diet without effing things up too much:

1) Pickles (and, thus, cucumbers, but really, who eats just cucumbers)

2) Diet Soda (my old dietitian once told me that Fresca will save the world one day)

3) Popcorn (unbuttered, obviously)

4) Sugar-free gum (because sometimes those shakes can make your breath kick like Jet Li)

Unfortunately, I don't really like any of those things. ^_^

Happy Monday!

  1. So, I totally keep sliced pickles in the fridge for snacking. They're super sour and I like sour. I eat like maybe 8-10 slices at a time in a little cup.

Also, the 100 calorie bags of popcorn are awesome. I was contemplating getting a popcorn popper because it's supposedly healthier. I think snacking for me is more having to do with keeping busy. That's why I like popcorn and GRAPES. Oh man, grapes are great for snacking.

I don't really like soda all too much, if you don't drink it for a while you realize it's reallllllly sweet. I drink lemonade a lot and Simply Apple.

I always have some watermelon sugar-less gum in my purse, too. It helps.

  2. Bomb! These are all great suggestions. I foresee my future having tons of pickles and salads in it.

    Grapes are good, eh?

  3. I love this alycia - she is creative :P I have similar things to share - first - pickles are the best thing ever. A crunchity dill, if you take the time to savor texture and taste, can leave you feeling satisfied. Two - If you must do plain popcorn, put it in a bag and season yourself, I know you can't use butter, so things may not stick well to the kernels, but what about a spritz of vinaigrette salad dressing (seriously, sold in spray bottles, but make your own!)or - put in ziploc and shake with some garlic and chili powder - I do this, but again, the butter helps it stick to the alreay popped corn, so....work out an alternative :) Anywho - Good Luck!
